INTRODUCING JTAPE
JTAPE’s founder, Oliver Jevons, originally worked in the family business developing adhesive solutions for automotive bodyshops across the UK and internationally. Oliver heard the challenges that painters experienced when masking cars and started devising innovative solutions for their masking needs.
His first patented product was Advanced Foam Masking Tape; an advanced alternative to the regular 13mm foam tape; and in 2003 JTAPE was born!
The Company started by manufacturing and hand-winding foam tape in Macclesfield, Cheshire. A year later, JTAPE moved to a small production facility in the nearby village of Goostrey, with just Oliver, one employee and two machines.
By 2010, rapid growth meant that JTAPE required more space. The business returned to Macclesfield with a workforce of over twenty employees and ten purpose-built production lines.
Since 2010 production lines have tripled, and a team of over fifty passionate people produce and sell the extensive range of exceptional quality products. JTAPE has a core portfolio of around 50 individually designed products and has produced over 2000 individual product lines which are manufactured and distributed into diverse markets including: automotive, marine, aerospace, construction, industrial, rail, trade and creative sectors all over the world.
